And is now alone atop the SECE at 9-4. We are in a three way tie for second w/ UK and UF at 8-5.
We hold our own destiny in our own hands. We win out, we win the SEC East. But we gotta beat UF and USC on the road. We hold the tiebreaker with Carolina, if we beat them and they win all their other games. Go Vols, sneak in there and win the SEC East and maybe the SEC regular season championship. |

I thought LSU had locked up at least a tie for the Championship? And let's be realistic here, no way we are gonna win anything this season. This was a nice little win tonight, but they only did what they were supposed to do, and once again, had to hang on at the end when it should have been put away. Good teams put teams away, we don't. The good thing is that Hopson is FINALLY showing signs of being the player we were told he was. ( I ) Have the ability to call Mike Hamilton at any time and have him return my call- just as he is about to do TODAY with this Thigpen deal and my complaint.- AtlantaVol 1/30/09 I've already told you: the only way to a woman's heart is along the path of torment. I know none other as sure.

But I'm not saying it's gonna happen. There's an important diffference there. There are three games left. We match up well against USC and Florida,
even playing on the road and our other game is Bama at home and that's the last game. So if we win the first two, we will be ready to play Bama with a
division championship on the line. I would bet on the Vols in that situation.
LSU has almost wrapped up the SEC regular season championship. We are out of the running for that, LSU is 12-1 and we are 8-5 with three games left to play. But USC could win out, LSU lose out and those two teams would tie for the SEC regular season championship. |

Their guards are light years better than ours and they are playing really well right now. Unfortunatetly their big guys are really coming on (16 blocks agains
KY the other night) I hope I'm wrong, but I'll bet we lose by 15 next week in Columbia.
As for Florida, we are MUCH stronger up front and Pearl seems to have this Fla Mojo working well. I think we'll end up 2 - 1 over the next three games, wind up 10 - 6 and in second place behind USC (and that coach should get coach of the year - he did a job similar to what Pearl did his first year)...... |

To our match up with UK or LSU. And I think those 4 and UT are the best 5 teams in the SEC.
And I agree, I'm counting on Pearl's Florida mojo to beat them in the O Center. They haven't lost there yet this year, so we got our work cut out for us. But I believe it's doable.
