Tennessean Recap of
UT/State game
Too many quotes by Hopson and Maze that echo things we have heard all year. I know these should be viewed in a positive light, but come on, how many times have we heard the same things from Chism/Tyler/Hopson/Maze?
"Me stepping up is really going to contribute to us having more success," Hopson said. "When I step up and be a contributor, we win."
"That's what I came here for," Maze said. "I've been down on myself because I feel like I haven't been playing to the best of my abilities. The team needed me. I want to put this team in the best position to win."
Every time we win we hear the "we've finally got this thing turned around and figured it out" type quotes, only to see the same crap-ass effort the next game out. I'm sorry - I want to believe this team can get it turned around but can't see it happening. I know that this team is not as good as we had originally hoped, but keep in mind that the SEC sucks ass this year, so even a mediocre team should be able to win the division and do well in the SECT.
Still not a believer in this year's Vols, but very hopeful about the future with Pearl at the helm.
