Question for the board? |
Lead | ||
|
Many times CPF's daughters and/or wife would accompany him across the field after the game. I think Coach Donnan used a bad word in the presence of one of
the girls once (concerning running up the score). Did you approve/disapprove/didn't care either way. I am sure Ms CLK will not do this but would you care
either way? (and yes, I know she is a "looker")

Its Not A Wife's or Daughter's Place On The Field | #1

If they heard something that offended them, it was their own fault. They do not belong out there on the field of battle. It is where players and coaches
battled, sweated, and strained with their hearts and emotions.

"Bit by bit, year by year, the Big Orange glow has dimmed. Too many key losses in too many big games since '98 have removed Tennessee from the elite list of teams annually considered as national championship contenders. It takes more than one of the biggest stadiums in college football and a nifty fight song to be in the national title hunt every year. Not only does it take great recruiting, but taking the talent and improving it, and neither has happened with the Vols lately. _________________ UT markets Nostalgia/Traditions rather than Wins vs Losses. --AtlantaVol

What in the Hell kind of question is this? | #2
|
How long you been around here bro? You think anyone here gives a fuck if Jim fucking Donnan used a "bad word" in front of foolmer's daughter
after a game?
What the hell is going on around here? ( I ) Have the ability to call Mike Hamilton at any time and have him return my call- just as he is about to do TODAY with this Thigpen deal and my complaint.- AtlantaVol 1/30/09 I've already told you: the only way to a woman's heart is along the path of torment. I know none other as sure.

Personally, I had no problem with the daughters | #3
|
But Queen Vicky, now that's another story all together. Frankly, anytime a dad is interacting with his children, I consider that to be a very good thing.
As for Queeny and her evil eye, well she should have just stayed up in the luxury boxes. Now, Layla may parade at her own pleasure, thankyee!

To bad every coach didn't cuss in front of CPF's daughters. Maybe he would have never lost a game.

Just another example of Foolmer's amateur hour... | #6
Gleasonvol wrote:I heartily DISapproved - not that that means a damn thing! To me, it looked about as unprofessional as possible. It's one thing to let the kids have a "job" on the sideline, but to grab your daughter's hand and waddle out to shake hands with the opposing coach just looked silly. I have never seen another coach do that at any level, and I bet the first time each SEC coach saw Foolmer do it, they didn't know whether to laugh, cry, curse, or puke. |

Jackie, if you take your kids to the Pool Hall, do you get upset if somebody | #9

hollers ..."goddamn shit piss babyraping babber dopping motherfucker!?"
I'm quite sure the team (er uh.... family) didnt like having the girls on the sidelines, its unnatural. If they were exposed to something excess testosterone might have caused, that's nobody's fault but Phil Fulmer's. That is the object lesson for the day. "Everyone's opinion is equal here." read these boards and although they learn a lot some of their parents get pissed off by profanity. We are terrible people, no doubt.

Good grief. You'd think we've never heard the word pussy before. If any of you ever stepped foot onto the sorority floor you'd be quite taken aback
at what your "pristine, sensitive, sweet, virginal" little girls are saying. If any woman gets offended by a "bad word" she should cram it
where the sun don't shine, because I guarantee you she's thought the same dirty little secret herself from time to time. We're human.
Not that I like the "p word" or the "c word" but, come on, we've ALL heard them.

Women have no place on a football field. Exceptions: National anthem singer, cheerleaders, hot sideline reporter.

NOT in a Press Conference | #14
|
I really don't care if they want to waltz across the field after a game although no one else did it that I know of.
Mark Richt's wife is a "water girl" on the sidelines but she styas far away from her hubby and, as far as I know, doesn't run across the field with him holding hands. But this sheeyat of going to Press Conferences after a game with wailing baby's (grandkids) and a wife who is getting up and GLARING at every reporter who asked a tough question was just beyond fooked up IMO!!!! Why the UTAD allowed this sheeyat to occur in an official press conference is beyond me. |

Girls on sideline is OK. Wife on sideline is ok as long as she's working, like Richt's wife. Girls going to midfield with coach to shake hands -- no.
Wife walking off field with coach -- no.

TennesseeTuxedo wrote: How do you really feel? I think kids are ok as long as they're old enough to know how to stay out of the way as the potential for injury is great on the sideline. I had no problem with Fulmer's daughter being there. My dad was a basketball coach and I spent many days at practice and games just because I loved being around sports. Just was a tomboy, I guess. Now....being there, you have to understand the things said and heard will be rough. Part of the territory, so one shouldn't complain about what is heard or seen. If you can't hang, don't hang out. Mark Richt's wife is the water woman. Do you have issues with that? |
